Crystalyn Freund is a dedicated educator with a diverse background in elementary education, outdoor education, and the performing arts. With over 15 years of experience in various educational settings, including Gifted & Talented, Performing Arts, Montessori, and Expeditionary Learning schools, Crystalyn has a deep-rooted passion for fostering creativity, exploration, and critical thinking in her students. She takes great pride in watching her students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally each school year, and she is skilled at creating engaging learning experiences and forging meaningful connections with students and families.
A proud native of the Great Lakes state, Crystalyn is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she majored in education. An avid outdoor adventurer, she spent several years in Colorado teaching and expanding learning opportunities at Metropolitan State University. Her love for the performing arts and desire to work with children inspired her to incorporate creative elements into her teaching methods, earning her a Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum Development & Instruction, Literacy/Language Arts, and an Independent Study in Integrated Arts.
